Ch.XXVI, p.622, f.2
"While a prisoner in the house of the Kalantar, the marriage of the son of
the family took place. Naturally, the wives of all the prominent men were
invited; but, although the host had gone to a great deal of expense to
provide the customary entertainment, the women loudly demanded that
Qurratu'l-'Ayn be brought before the company. She had hardly appeared and
begun to speak when the musicians and dancers were dismissed. The ladies,
forgetful of the sweets of which they were so fond, had eyes only for
Qurratu'l-'Ayn." (Ibid., p. 448.)
